How to Animate Realistic Camera Shake in Blender

Camera shake can make or break the realism of a 3D animation. Whenever I animate a camera, I always consider whether I want the movement to be perfectly smooth or if I want to introduce some imperfections to enhance realism. For the past few years, I’ve relied heavily on the free Camera Shakify add-on by Ian Hubert and Nathan Vegdahl to achieve this effect.

This plugin makes it incredibly easy to add and fine-tune camera shake in Blender. The best part is that the shake presets are based on real handheld footage, resulting in highly realistic effects. You can download Camera Shakify for free from the official Blender Extensions page.

I hope you find this plugin as useful and amazing as I do and that you can easily implement it into your workflow. For more quick and effective Blender tutorials, be sure to check out my Instagram channel!
